The Wines Cellar Heredad Larreina
The origins of the Heredad Larreina family winery can be traced back to four generations dedicated to winemaking, passing on the knowledge acquired from parents to children.
Located in the village of Lapuebla de Labarca on the southern edge of Álava on the banks of the river Ebro where The economy focuses on the monoculture of the vine and the winemaking industry of Rioja.
In the update is the son of Félix Larreina, Eusebio Larreina who leads the winery, giving him new airs, without neglecting the traditional methods and processes, which he has so well learned and developed, in collaboration with his father.
The design and construction of the winery allow the elaboration of its wines by the oldest and most traditional method known, that of carbon maceration; Pouring the whole clusters in their lakes or deposits, achieving, through the treading of the grapes, better extract the aromas and the color of the wine.
The aging is achieved in American oak barrels housed in drains or underground galleries, imitation of the drafts of its old cellar, ideal for its temperature and constant humidity, accompanied by an unbeatable peace and tranquility.
At present they maintain the same facilities and vineyards, since their objective is not to enlarge the installations nor their productions, but to commercialize the own crop with a production of 80,000 bottles of limited harvest distributed in
Young Wine with the mark “FELIX LARREINA” and in crianza and Reservations with the brand “HEREDAD LARREINA”
